Avoid Problems when Applying for a Passport

9 things that you can do to avoid any problems with your passport and to ensure that you have a smooth and problem-free trip.Planning a trip usually brings in a lot of stress with it. Regardless of whether you’re planning a vacation, a business trip, a visit to family or friends, the planning itself is always stressful. You have so many things to think about: accommodation, who’s going to take care of things while you’re gone, travel expenses, flight schedules, and on and on. The last thing you need is to have to deal with passport problems.
Find Out If You Need A Passport
Some countries do not require a passport from US travelers, but most countries do. Before you even start planning anything, check the country’s foreign requirements to find out if you need a passport.
Process Your Passport
There were times when it would have been advisable to apply for your passport at least 3 months before your planned trip. But those days are over, because you can now process your passport online and have it expedited. You can get your passport in as early as 24 hours.
Correctly Fill Out Forms
When filling out your passport forms online, make sure you put in all the correct information. After filling the forms out, double check before you submit. Incorrect information could delay your passport application.
Submit All Necessary Documents
Along with the necessary forms, there will be some required documentation that you need to submit as well. Make sure to use the passport processing checklist provided to help you ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted.
Sign All Necessary Fields
Some people tend to forget to provide their signatures because of all the other things that the forms and documents need. Without your signature, the forms won’t be valid, so make sure that you sign where needed.
Ask For More Pages
To limit the number of times you’ll need to deal with processing your passport, it is always better to just ask for more pages. This way, it will take longer before you need a passport replacement.
Signature And Information On Your Passport
Once you have your passport, make sure to check that the information there is all accurate. Then sign it and fill in the information needed.
Make Back-up Copies
At least two copies are advisable. Give one copy to someone who you can trust and who can easily be there in case you lose your passport or some other emergency happens. One copy should be with you while you’re traveling, along with the original. But keep them separate, so that if one gets lost, you still have another copy.
Secure Your Passport
Once you’re already on your trip, make sure that you keep your passport in a safe place. Keeping one copy in the hotel safe and one with you would be a good way to go. When you carry your passport with you, make sure that it is as close to your body as possible. A coat or jacket pocket would be advisable. Don’t place your passport in places that could be easily stolen – like your purse or your baggage.
Conclusion
Process passport taking these steps to ensure that you don’t encounter any passport problems allows you the space to deal with the other things that need to be done for your trip. Also, check out Fastport Passport to learn about how you can have your passport expedited so you don’t have to keep worrying about it.
One more very important thing to remember. Your working with the federal government. They have access to all your records when applying for a passport. All your records must be clean. No court owing, no traffic violations….CLEAN! Start as soon as possible for this passport so that your not up against time. You wouldn’t want to lose your vacation!

Flying with as Little as a Carry On

Flying with as Little as a Carry On Traveling can be stressful even when going on short trips. When packing a large suitcase it only adds to your stress. Have you ever considered packing just a carry on? Well here is how!
The typical airline will allow you a bag that is up to 45 inches total after adding all of the dimensions. Carry your electronics in a messenger bag or backpack and leave your other carry on for all of your essentials. For women, wear the jewelry that you must have so you do not have to pack it.
For clothing, try to wear what is heaviest while traveling. Shoes tend to take up the most space so bring pairs that are versatile. Jeans can be worn three times easily and shirts twice. Take the basics and add a scarf or statement necklace to make an outfit look different. Rolling all of your items is the most efficient way to pack all of your belongings into a confined space. Use the provided hotel toiletries so you do not have to take your own.
Try it out! Who knows maybe you will continue to pack this way. Have fun.

Vacation Travel for Two

Trips for Two…

Vacation Travel for Two
Trips for Two…Planning a vacation with your significant other can be an amazing experience. Go somewhere that you both will love and find things to do for each other. The best way to get along is to allow each other to do the activities you want to do. Maybe one day you go snorkeling and the other you go to the spa, the point is to make each other happy.
If you cannot decide on a place to go just come to a compromise and try to go to the place the other wants to in the next coming year. While on your trip make sure to allow each other personal time. Fighting on a trip is no fun and can really dampen the mood. Remember its normal to fight when you are with each other 24 hours a day. When the argument comes on don’t take it far and look at the situation and if its worth fighting for. No one is going to get their way on vacation and lets face it, the same goes for real life too.

Traveling on a Budget

Traveling on a Budget
It is certainly true many want to travel, but individuals cannot always afford the luxury to do so. Here are a few simple ways to save money and places to visit that will keep you focused on your trip and not how much you are spending.
Start off with traveling in the off-seasons, this means to choose times of the year that airlines and hotels charge less for bookings. The most popular months for off-peak travel is September and October. Think about it, September is right after the summer season, kids are getting back into school, and not many people are looking to travel. Hotel prices lower if you book a hotel stay on weekdays, it is much less expensive than booking on weekends. Depending on the days of the week airline tickets will run cheaper on per say Tuesdays or Thursdays. If you are booking a vacation give yourself enough time to play around with your options to get the best prices.
When you arrive at your destination if possible steer away from rental cars. Busses and trains, even walking will be much less costly in the long run. Depending on certain cities busses will be more affordable than trains. If cars are a must travel in a group to save money, buying four bus tickets will probably be more expensive in the long run. Be aware of where you park, if in an area with parking garages, it may be worth the extra mile walk to save some cash. Plus, walking is great exercise.
Worried about food? This, in my opinion, is the time to indulge, however there are ways to do it right to save you an extra buck. Avoid hotel breakfast; try to find a local café or restaurant that serves better food for a better price. Not too hungry? Split an entrée or just go for an appetizer. Stick to water, in most cases it is free and you will need to keep hydrated with all the walking you are going to be doing.
Most important look for a travel agency such as Crystal and Clear Travel who offers monthly payment plans to make your dream vacation affordable. Happy traveling!
