The most magical place on earth is not always so magical when it comes to how expensive it is. There are plenty of ways to save money and cut corners to stay in budget.
Take advantage of the days the park is open longer, typically you will find these days during summer hours where the park is open from 8am to 12pm. During the summer you will also find extra show times and fewer attractions will be closed at the park. Souvenirs are something that can definitely break the bank. If you have kids, buy costumes before arriving that you can find on amazon or at the Disney store when there are sales, and don’t forget you can always DIY. Character autographs are free at the park; make sure you bring your own book so you don’t have to purchase an overpriced one at the park. Disney also passes out free celebration buttons, for anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and more. Watch out for the machines that create flattened pennies, all you have to use is some extra change. Food at the park is always pricey, save money buy bringing in your own snacks, especially if you have kids, it will subside their hunger until you are able to get out of the park for a meal. Water bottles are expensive so bring your own, there are plenty of water sources around the park to fill up your own reusable bottle as well. Ice water is free at all restaurants. Staying outside the park is always a great option, look for hotels that offer free breakfast, parking, and hotels within walking distance. If you decide to stay outside of the park check to see if your hotel has a shuttle prior to booking so you don’t have to pay for expensive parking. Parking runs for up to $60 a day… yikes! You can always take an uber or lyft as well. Keep all of these tips in mind to keep you in budget. This way you have an affordable and amazing vacation. Share the knowledge
